Mudra: Journal of Arts and Culture is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to exploring the dynamic intersection between the arts and cultural phenomena.

The journal aims to publish high-quality research that critically examines the creation of artistic expressions and their engagement with cultural contexts. It emphasizes the ways in which artistic practices are both shaped by and in turn influence cultural frameworks.

Mudra serves as a platform for interdisciplinary research, fostering discussions on the complex ways in which art engages with cultural identities, social transformations, and global issues. It invites empirical research, theoretical reflections, and critical analyses.

Scope of Journal

• Artistic Forms & Media:

Visual arts, performing arts, literature, digital media, and creative practice.

• Cultural Dynamics:

Broader cultural frameworks, identities, and social transformations linked to art.

• Cultural Policy & Law:

Impact of policy implementations (e.g., UNESCO 2005 Convention) and legal frameworks shaping artistic production, circulation, and reception.

Out of Scope Boundaries

To avoid epistemological ambiguity and maintain core editorial focus, Mudra currently refrains from considering the following topics and methodologies:

• Unaccepted Methodologies:

Quantitative research (statistical/survey-based studies) and Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR) are currently not accepted.

• Pure Anthropology:

Topics like marriage law, kinship systems, or customary social structures without direct engagement with art.

• General Socio-Legal Studies:

Legal or sociological frameworks devoid of artistic practices or outputs.
