Purpose: This study aims to analyze the transformation of street music practices through TikTok Live in public spaces in Bandar Lampung. Method: A qualitative approach with an ethnographic method was employed to explore the changing practices of street musicians in the digital era. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving street musicians who actively conducted TikTok Live broadcasts while performing in public spaces. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which consists of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Result and Discussion: The findings reveal that TikTok Live has transformed street music practices from performances primarily oriented toward audiences in physical spaces into interactive performances that simultaneously engage digital audiences. Public spaces, including sidewalks, road intersections, and areas beneath flyovers, function not only as performance venues but also as visual representations within live-streamed performances. The use of digital technologies, such as smartphones, microphones, sound cards, tripods, and portable speakers, has become an integral component in supporting the quality of musical performances. Furthermore, interactions through live comments, song requests, and real-time communication with viewers have created new patterns of engagement between performers and audiences in the digital environment. Implication: These findings indicate that street music practices are dynamic and adaptive to technological developments, giving rise to a hybrid form of musical performance that integrates public and digital spaces.
